Reseña: It is a pleasure to present the Vol. 14 No. 2 issue of the Earth Sciences Research journal, which in this opportunity gathers interesting contributions about geotechnical results related to the monotonic behavior of the saturated-sands. Also, in this volume, there are some reported studies about metamorphic processes in complex areas such as the "Macizo Santander" and the metamorphic belt of the NW South America, which includes the South Caribbean Deformed Belt. These metamorphic complexes are allowing a substantial advance in the knowledge about the P-T conditions in which the South American continent has been configured.

On the other hand, taking into account the World energy crisis and the wide need of embedding hydrocarbon resources, which turns strategic to show to this journal audience the results about the use of techniques associated to seismic attributes and applied to the Orito field in the Putumayo basin, (Colombia), one of the most prospective basins in the Northern Andes.

In this volume it is presented a study about the biostratigraphy zoning and sequence stratigraphy in the Delta-Niger, which can tell about the conditions oflater Neogene in Africa. Surely this study may represent a keystone for understanding the evolution oFlargest delta rivers and its implications for modeling the weather change during the Cenozoic.
